Double Creek Ranch

2650 acres

The Double Creek Ranch is a very well-improved hunting and cattle ranch. Take Hwy. 183 north of Austin for about 45 minutes to the county road that dead ends at the ranch entrance. This ranch is very private, yet very good access, only 2 miles from Hwy. 183 and just ten minutes south of Lampasas, Texas.

Picturesque rolling landscape with two major creek drainages provides excellent wildlife habitat. The hunting has been managed for approximately 15 years and has not been leased. The ranch is primarily low-fenced with fairly large neighboring ranches.

The ranch has two seasonal creeks, five water wells, and nine stock tanks. The ranch is cross-fenced into six pastures with cattle guards between most of the pastures.

The very functional ranch headquarters features an approximately 3000 sq. ft. home with wrap-around porches and a fire pit. The main house has two fireplaces and an attractive game room, complete with a bar, shuffleboard, and a pool table. A two-car garage serves the main house. A nearby guesthouse is accessed by a rock walkway.

Equipment offered with the ranch includes two John Deere tractors, a John Deere lawnmower, a skid steer with attachments, an aluminum gooseneck horse trailer, two utility trailers, and an all-season 3000# feed trailer with auger and hose for filling deer feeders.

Double Creek Ranch has fenced food plots, blinds, and feeders and is ready to hunt deer, turkey, doves, and hogs. Ranches of this size close to Austin are hard to find.
